PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Enjoy and have fun playing football.
2. Encourage and respect team members.
3. Show respect and follow instructions from football officials and parent helpers.
4. Show respect to team members and opposition teams.

PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Do not force an unwilling child to participate in sports.
2. Remember, children are involved in organized sports for their enjoyment, not yours.
3. Encourage your child always to play by the rules.
4. Teach your child that honest effort is as important as victory so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment.
5. Turn defeat into victory by helping your child look towards skill improvement and good sportsmanship. Never ridicule or yell at your child for making a mistake or losing a competition.
6. Remember that children learn best by example. Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposing team.
7. Do not publicly question the officials’ judgment and never their honesty.
8. Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from children’s sporting activities.
9. Recognize the value and importance of volunteer coaches and committee members. They give of their time and resources to provide recreational activities for your child. Be prepared to help out if asked.

COACH’S CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Encourage players to develop all round basic football skills.
2. Provide a good balance of skill learning, free play, and competitive play.
3. Ensure all players get equal time in games.
4. Encourage players to enjoy and have fun playing football and to learn from their wins and losses.
5. Encourage winning through skill and playing within the rules of the game, and not by unfair methods.
6. Follow the advice of a Doctor in determining when an injured player is ready to play again.
7. Keep up to date on sound coaching principles and the principles of growth and development of children.
